Croquet is out on the lawn
during the summer and is always a fun game to play and in our experience it
is one of the few where cheating seems to be almost expected! There have been
numerous disputes as to the definitive rules and it has now been decided that
if your ball lands up in the stream you have to start again from the beginning!
We have heard many a laugh of malicious pleasure after a ball has landed in
the water! A glass of Pimms, however, served in the pagoda, seems to soften
the blow.

Croquet, although French, is one of the classic
English summer garden games. Enjoy a glass of Pimms during the fun.
